Rani is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering where he works under the supervision of Prof. Dohyung Kim. His research centers on the electrification of chemical reactions on electrode surfaces where he investigates the critical roles of the interfacial microenvironment in either enhancing or inhibiting catalytic reactions, with a particular emphasis on the interactions at the platinum-electrolyte interface. Rani graduated from Lehigh University in 2022 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and minors in Biomolecular Engineering and Economics.
